Mike is critically wounded and forced to stay in Mexico to heal. Eventually, Gus trusts Jesse enough to bring him and Mike to Mexico as part of Gus' plan to kill Don Eladio and other cartel members. Mike helped Jesse to clean up his apartment after the death of his girlfriend Jane Margolis, keep Jesse and Walt in line after Jesse kills Gale, and later coming up with a plan to drive a rift between Walt and Jesse. When he tracked down information about Walt and Jesse and relayed the information to Saul, Mike had warned Saul not to do business with them, but Saul ignored his advice, seeing a potential with Walt and Jesse's product. Knowing that Nacho is operating as Gus's mole in the Salamanca organization, Mike works to keep Lalo off Gus's trail and saves Jimmy from a cartel assassination attempt.įollowing the deaths of both Nacho and Lalo, Mike remained as one of Gus' most trusted associates by the time Walter White and Jesse Pinkman entered the drug business in 2008. Mike is depressed afterwards, until Gus offers him a larger role in helping gain revenge against the Salamancas. When Werner escapes and inadvertently reveals some details about the lab to Lalo Salamanca, Gus orders Werner killed to protect the secret, and Mike shoots Werner. Mike oversees the construction of the "superlab" led by Werner Ziegler. When this effort fails, Mike plans to assassinate Hector but is stopped by Gus, who wants to be the one to decide when Hector dies, and offers Mike a position within his drug organization, which Mike accepts, later becoming the head of security at Los Pollos Hermanos, and one of Gus' closest enforcers alongside Victor and Tyrus Kitt. Tuco's uncle Hector suspects Mike, so Mike attempts to bring police attention to the Salamanca drug trade. Through one of his side-jobs, Mike also becomes involved with Nacho Varga, who asks Mike to help eliminate an increasingly-unstable Tuco Salamanca from the Salamanca organization, but Mike instead engineers Tuco's long-term arrest by faking a confrontation in front of police. Mike becomes Saul (then known as Jimmy McGill)'s associate after Jimmy helps cover for him when Philadelphia officers investigating the deaths of the two cops Mike killed learn of Mike's whereabouts. He took a job as a parking lot attendant at the Bernalillo County Courthouse and also performed for-hire criminal jobs on the side. After Matt's funeral, Mike murdered the two cops, then fled to Albuquerque to be near Stacey and Kaylee. Mike got caught up in crooked activities within the Philadelphia police, and after Matt joined the force, he hesitated when two crooked cops approached him, so they killed him. While in Philadelphia, he married and had a son, Matt, who later had his own family, wife Stacey and daughter Kaylee. Mike is also well-trained and calm in all types of combat situations, once using science and long strategy to take down a large number of hostiles with ease.īorn between 1940-1944, Mike served in the Marines during the Vietnam War. As a former beat cop and true professional, Mike maintains an extensive, up-to-date knowledge of forensic evidence, surveillance equipment, and police procedure. Mike has extensive knowledge of how to operate on both sides of the law without detection. He worked for both Gustavo Fring and Saul Goodman as a private investigator, head of security, cleaner, fixer, and hitman. Calm and calculating, Mike later became a private investigator, hitman, assassin, and violent fixer for drug traffickers to financially support his family (his daughter-in-law Stacey and granddaughter Kaylee). Prior to the date however, a fairy and overall guardian to the hall named Symphony awakens. To modernize the town however, Bravo Town announces that they will tear down the hall. In Bravo Town, a young composer named Takt is the leader of an orchestral group known as the Bravo Youth Orchestra, and they perform at the town's Concert Hall. The Japanese release featured an optional Baton peripheral. By playing 3 or more notes bad however, the player is forced into Devil Mode, where their score will fall until they play a correct cycle perfectly. By playing good and increasing their score, the player can reach Bravo Mode, which is required to beat the stage. There are three levels of pressure light, medium and hard. Utilizing the pressure sensitivity with the DualShock 2, the player must conduct an orchestra by tapping correlating buttons with varying degrees of pressure. Mad Maestro features this style of gameplay, with the additional layer of pressure sensitivity. Typically rhythm games rely on timed input according to on-screen cues and tempo. This led to three Japan-only follow-ups with two "expansions", Bravo Music: Christmas Edition in 2001, and Bravo Music: Chou-Meikyokuban in 2002, and alongside them, a proper sequel called Let's Bravo Music also in 2002. ĭespite mixed critical reception in the west, the game was sold well and received positive reviews in its native Japan. The game's original title was Shake It Bravoes! ( シェイク イット ブラボーズ!, Sheiku itto burabōzu! ). The game utilizes a soundtrack composed of entirely classical music by famous composers such as Beethoven, Brahms, and Tchaikovsky. Playing as the orchestra conductor Takt, the player must play the song by pressing the button according to the correct pressure on the screen. It was developed by Desert Productions and released in Japan by Sony Computer Entertainment (SCEI) and abroad by Eidos Interactive under their "Fresh Games" label on Octoin Japan, then later in March 2002 for North America and Europe. Mad Maestro!, known in Japan as Bravo Music ( ブラボーミュージック, Burabō Myūjikku), is a classical music rhythm game for the PlayStation 2 (PS2). It also supports OpenAPI, Swagger and RAML formats. It structures its data in XML, YAML, and JSON and is data-driven. REST (Representational State Transfer) is based on HTML. SOAP (Simple Object Access Protocol) is based on XML and is function-driven. This is achieved with the inclusion of authorisation credentials needed for those Requests.ĪPI uses the most well-known protocols, such as SOAP, REST, and others. Thanks to this method of communication and data transfer, security is ensured. This method is based purely on the input and output of the application.ĪPI is used for communication between applications and works in the following way: Black Box means that there is no need to know about an internal code structure, paths, or any other details. API Testing can be done earlier as it is the kind of testing that does not need the UI, and it can be bypassed.ĪPI Testing can run on a service or business layer and can also run using the Black Box method. E2E Testing can be performed only when all three layers exist. Unit Testing is done on the business logic level. Typically, web applications are made of three layers: User Interface (UI), Business logic, and Database. API Testing provides insight to the eventual problem early in the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). Connecting applications through APIs simplifies data exchange between applications, resulting in higher productivity and revenue.ĪPI Testing is a complementary type of both: Unit Testing and End-to-End (E2E) Testing. Of course, the idea is far more complex, but I hope you get the point.ĪPI stands for “Application Programming Interface”. API can be compared to the walkie-talkie that enables two-way communication. Once he knows the answer, he presses a button and sends the weather information back to you. He hears your voice and checks whether it’s raining. You press that button, your voice reaches him, and you ask him if it’s raining outside. Imagine you have a walkie-talkie, and your friend is on the other end. In today’s article, we will focus on API Testing with an emphasis on the REST API and Postman. There are a lot of different combinations with various technologies and tools. What is more, they are the responsibility of a developer, not a QA Tester.Īfter the tests are conducted by a developer, it’s time for the QA team to test the functionality of an application’s interfaces. Unit Tests and Integration Tests are great to have, but they aren’t enough to test every aspect of the application. Hence, the Quality Assurance team must ensure that the application works the way it is expected to. Software development is facing tremendous growth – applications are increasingly in demand, releases are more frequent, and its quality must be maintained at an acceptable level. Part of the Blocks specification is that they use audio rather than control signals for all input and output, giving total freedom when it comes to signal routing between them, much like u-he's ACE and Bazille synths. While new users will likely find the learning curve steep (there's no walkthrough in the Blocks manual, although NI's well-hidden Reaktor Community Learning Resources page has some helpful videos), it's easy enough to start making your own Instruments once you've got the hang of patching Blocks together in the Structure view. "Out of the box, you get 30 prefabricated Blocks divided into eight folders." It feels like NI has missed a trick in terms of potentially making Reaktor more accessible to casual synthesists, though - the addition of virtual cables in the Panel view (where the final Instrument interface is displayed) would have made everything much more immediate and user-friendly. They work just like regular instruments, patched up in Reaktor's Structure view just like everything else in the software. If you're familiar with Reaktor, getting to grips with Blocks isn't too tricky. Perhaps unsurprisingly, their focus has been on explaining how Blocks make Reaktor 6 akin to having an enormous modular analogue synth in your laptop - more on that later. NI certainly hasn't gone out of its way to make it clear what Blocks actually are, nor that they're only capable of delivering monophonic results thanks to Reaktor's current inability to send polyphonic information between Instruments. "The main thing that Reaktor 6 adds to the mix is the modular hardware-like Blocks." These aren't a new hierarchy strata like Core was rather, they're an Instrument specification - a sort of equivalent of Doepfer's A-100 (more commonly known as Eurorack) hardware spec. The main thing that Reaktor 6 adds to the mix is the modular hardware-like Blocks. You can use Save for Web to export your images as 24-bit transparent PNG files and upload them to TinyPNG. With other versions it is impossible and Photoshop CS5 cannot even display them properly. Also, Online Converter can be used to compress videos and images for Discord. What about Photoshop?Įxcellent question! Only Photoshop CC 2015 or newer can save images as indexed PNG files with alpha transparency. If you want to create and compress stickers under 500 KB take a look at the iMessage Panda sticker example on Github. Only Internet Explorer does not support the format yet.Īpple added animated stickers to iMessage with the release of iOS 10. Binary transparency without any workarounds! Is it safe to use animated PNG?Įxcellent question! Chrome, Firefox, Safari and now Microsoft Edge all support APNG. With TinyPNG the background becomes transparent again. Still need to support Internet Explorer 6? It normally ignores PNG transparency and displays a solid background color. Is it supported everywhere?Įxcellent question! The files produced by TinyPNG are displayed perfectly on all modern browsers including mobile devices. I have excellent eyesight but can’t spot the difference either! Use the optimized image to save bandwidth and loading time and your website visitors will thank you. Discord emojis have a strict size restriction, so set your image or PNG to be 128x128 pixels big. Use this GIF optimizer to compress GIFs to 8MB for Discord emotes or 128KB for Slack animated GIFs. All unnecessary metadata is stripped too. By reducing the number of colors, 24-bit PNG files can be converted to much smaller 8-bit indexed color images. You can also use this tool to resize animated WebP, APNG, FLIF, and MNG files without losing animation, and any other common image type.File size 57 KB vs Shrunk transparent PNGĮxcellent question! When you upload a PNG (Portable Network Graphics) file, similar colors in your image are combined. You can select the action to perform if the aspect ratio of the source image and your chosen size does not match - center and crop the image, stretch the image to fit, or force the original aspect ratio. Gifsicle is usually the fastest tool and produces smaller files, but is designed for speed, not quality. Try different resize methods if you are not satisfied with the result. Some gifs may need the "coalesce" option (which removes all optimizations from frames) if other methods fail and the output image is flickering or has strange artifacts, but it may significantly increase file size and is very slow. GIF animation resizing is sometimes tricky, and you will probably have to choose between a smaller file size or image quality. Useful when you need to reduce GIF size or fit the image in specific dimensions. Ezgif's online image resizer will resize, crop, or flip animated gifs and other images, with the same quality and speed as professional software, without the need to buy and install anything. The built-in method returns a list of the words in the string, using the delimiter as the delimiter string. In practice, this means you can go through each element one by one. Method1: Using split () method The split method is used to split the strings and store them in the list. In the example given below, we are taking a string as input and we are splitting the string at whitespace using regular expressions. In Python, you have to keep in mind that there are several data types which are iterables. The regular expression and the string are sent as inputs to the re.split() method, which separates the text at the characters indicated by the regular expression. By simply passing the string as an argument to the list () function, you can easily create a list of all the characters in the string. Performing list(s)on a string sreturns a list of all the characters present in the string, in the same order as the string’s characters. The list () function is a common and efficient way to convert a string into a list of characters. The strip function can be used to get rid of the brackets and split function can make the data list comma-separated. The syntax is: str '' str1 ( 'geeks', 'for', 'geeks' ) str. The output of the above example is given below − The given string is Using list()constructor The list()constructor builds a list directly from an iterable, and since the string is iterable, you can construct a list from it. Method 1 : Using strip () + split () A combination of strip and split functions can perform a particular task. By using join () function in python, all characters in the list can be joined. This is the best way to convert string to list in Python. To convert a string into list of characters, we can simply use type conversion using the inbuilt list () method. If the string is not specified or is None, then the algorithm will split the string at the space. It splits a string into a specified place and returns a list of strings. In the example given below, we are taking the same program as above but we are taking different input and converting that into list of words − str1 = "Hello-Everyone-Welcome-to-Tutoiralspoint" Using split Method The split () is a built-in string method in Python. The output of the given example is as follows − The given string is Print("Converting them into list of words") The split method is used to split the strings and store them in the list. By simply passing the string as an argument to the list () function, you can easily create a list of all the characters in the string. Python Convert String to List using split() method. In the example given below, we are taking a string as input and we are converting them into list of words using split() method − str1 = "Hello Everyone Welcome to Tutoiralspoint" You can use the extend () method in combination with a for loop to convert a list of strings and characters to a list of characters. The list () function is a common and efficient way to convert a string into a list of characters. This function returns a white-space-separated modified list. The delimiter parameter is sent to the split() function, and it indicates where a text should be divided.Īs a result, we must pass white space to the split() function as a delimiter. This function separates a text at the delimiter we specify. The first approach is to use the built−in method split (). In this article, we are going to find out how to convert a string to a list of words in Python. "Temple of the Frog," published in 1986, is a revised version of an adventure that appeared in 1975 in the supplement "Blackmoor," an accessory to the original version of the Dungeons & Dragons rules. "The Keep on the Borderlands," published in 1979, was designed as an introductory adventure suitable for people new to the game and was compatible with the Basic rules. "The Savage Coast," published in 1985, is another wilderness adventure that was designed to be compatible with the Expert Set. The island and its inhabitants, including new nonhuman races, are described in rich detail and there is scope for the characters to embark on many different kinds of quests. The adventure is designed for a party of 6-10 characters from levels 3-7 and requires them to travel over the sea from the civilized mainland of the Known World setting to the titular Isle of Dread, a wild and unexplored land full of mystery and danger where dinosaurs and other fantastic creatures roam. "The Isle of Dread" by Dave Cook and Tom Moldvay was originally published in 1981 and was specially reprinted in 1983 with a new cover for inclusion in the Expert Set. Additionally, clans will typically help finance the construction if the character does not have enough money of their own. Elves, dwarves, and halflings live in clan-based societies, so once a stronghold is built, the builder's clan will usually come to live there. None of the races want to live on icy glaciers! Dwarves and Elves need to be of Name (9th) level to build a stronghold, whereas halflings, like fighters, may build one at any level if they have sufficient resources to do so. Halflings prefer pleasant areas of the countryside near rolling hills and streams. Dwarves are described as being miners, so they build their strongholds in underground caverns within mountains or hills. The Rulebooks suggests that suitable locations may include at the top of a great tree, the edge of a quiet vale, or behind a rushing waterfall. Darokin is the name of both a republic neighboring the Grand Duchy and its capital city, while Thyatis is the name of both the powerful empire of which the Grand Duchy is a part, and its capital city.Įlves in Dungeons & Dragons are described as sylvan creatures, so they build their strongholds deep in the forest, preferably in a site of great natural beauty. Specularum is the capital city of the Grand Duchy and a major port.Īs such, it may serve as a point of departure for adventures involving sea travel. Suggestions are provided for adventures they might have in the town and nearby wilderness, along with information about the local politics, and how they can travel to other locations in the realm to have adventures elsewhere. The Dungeon Master's section of the Rulebook suggests that player characters might begin their adventures there, although this is entirely optional. Threshold is a small rural town in a remote region of the Grand Duchy that faces onto a large unexplored wilderness area. There is a particularly detailed description of the realm known as the Grand Duchy of Karameikos that would reappear in many published campaign settings. The Expert rules set includes detailed maps of what was originally called the Known World setting, which was later incorporated into a fictional world known as Mystara. |
